5+1 Ways to Make Your Ferry Trip Easier and Safer

This summer is definitely different from all the previous ones. Transportation for most is limited and, due to the mandatory use of masks on ships, there were many who preferred closer islands for their holidays in order to limit their stay on board. In addition, itineraries this summer were significantly less than in previous years, which in combination with the limited availability, made it difficult for many to find a ticket. 1. The e-ticket is the revolution in passenger shipping!

How many times have you wasted your time waiting in line at the agency to pick up printed tickets? How many times have you been obliged to make special arrangements and plans in order to give the printed tickets to your fellow travelers for whom you bought them? How many times have you lost or forgotten your printed (and irreplaceable!) tickets so you have to buy new ones, and many times without getting back the money from your original tickets? With the e-ticket all this is in the past and your life becomes much easier! Apart from the time you save and the unnecessary hassle you avoid, this year with the e-ticket you no longer have to wait in line at the agency with your mask, nor exchange papers and tickets with others. Most companies now support e-ticket and the process is very simple: before your trip, you find your reservation on the application, and by selecting check-in, the shipping company issues you the electronic ticket which is sent to you by e-mail or SMS. It is not necessary to print it, while you can also send it to those who travel with you, very easily.

2. Track your ferry and save time

Ship delays are a common occurrence, either due to weather conditions, due to increased traffic in ports, or due to technical problems that may arise. In any case, you can now avoid the unnecessary waiting in the ports waiting for the ship that is often late. 4. Do not forget, wearing a mask is mandatory!

The mask has now become an integral part of our daily lives, and ferry trips could not be an exception. It is therefore important that all passengers wear a mask before boarding the ship and throughout the voyage. 5. Print the pre-boarding form at your home

In addition to the mask, it is now necessary for passengers boarding ferries to complete the pre-boarding form. This form is intended to inform passengers in the event that a coronavirus case is found after the journey. As part of limiting our exposure to hazards, it is useful to print the form before the trip so that we do not have to go to the port agency to pick it up.
